The Trade School, with the professional support of PORA, and with partners Koprivnica-Križevci County and Đurđevac Vocational School, was among the first to submit to the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds a project proposal for the tender "Establishment of infrastructure of regional competence centers in vocational education and training” which plans to establish a regional Center of Competence in the field of electrical engineering in Koprivnica-Križevci County.
The project "Competence Center in Koprivnica-Križevci County" will reconstruct, upgrade and equip the building of the Trade School Koprivnica and the building of the partner institution of the Vocational School Đurđevac. A further cooperation of the Center with the business sector and higher education institutions is planned in accordance with labor market requirements.
This project will increase the relevance of vocational education by improving conditions in the (sub) sector of electrical engineering and computer science of vocational education in order to achieve greater employability of students. Furthermore, it encompasses the improvement of the infrastructure of the regional center of competence in vocational education in Koprivnica-Križevci County according to the regional market requirements by intensifying cooperation with similar centers in the EU.
The total value of the project is HRK 30,025,397.94 million, the applicant is the Trade School Koprivnica, while the project partners are Koprivnica-Križevci County, Đurđevac Vocational School, and the project collaborators are the Croatian Employment Service, PORA Regional Development Agency, Ivan Seljanec High School from Križevci, Technical School Daruvar as well as the companies Rasco and Hangar 18.
The stated amount of support of HRK 30 million as provided on the basis of the application for the open tender has been reported in the amount of 100 percent, and the results will be public after the closing of the tender at the end of September 2019.
