Today, in the premises of the County Administration, Prefect Darko Koren signed contracts for the services of drafting project documentation for the Competence Center in Koprivnica-Križevci County worth 600 thousand HRK.
At the very beginning, the prefect thanked all those present, emphasizing the members of the project team, principals of vocational schools and the support of PORA who have an important role in the implementation of this project.
- We made a great effort, spent a lot of time and exchanged many words in the preparation of the project that we are witnessing today. It starts with the signing of the contract related to the preparation of project-technical documentation for the Competence Center. It is one of the projects that will respond in a quality way to all the needs that craft professions in our county have. First of all, by this project the Trade School Koprivnica will be reconstructed, upgraded and equipped, but also a part of that project will be directed to the partner school, the Đurđevac Vocational School - the prefect emphasized.
The total value of the project should be around 30 million HRK, the applicant is the Trade School Koprivnica, and the project partners are the County and the Đurđevac Vocational School with one common ultimate goal - to create professional staff for the labor market.
"After the public procurement procedure for the services of drafting technical documentation, contracts are being signed today with the Association of Bidders for two groups of services worth a total of 600 thousand HRK" - said the prefect and announced that the public procurement procedure for the works is expected at the end of April next year, whereas the concrete works would begin in June.
On behalf of the Association of Bidders, Rajko Kolarić addressed the audience, saying that the main goal is to provide services within the set deadlines and to meet the expectations of clients and future users.
The head of the administrative department for finance, budget and public procurement, as well as the project manager Darko Masnec, said that this project provides technical conditions with new equipment, so the school will be technically adapted and equipped.
The second part of the project relates to the preparation and development of the program, the development of the curriculum, so that after completing classes and schooling, children who leave school can be employed immediately.
This Center and this project is actually a preparation for secondary vocational education in the 21st century. In addition to competences and professional staff offered by the school and students in the Center, adults will also be able to acquire their knowledge and skills with additional educational processes - said Masnec.
Members of the project team, teachers Branko Pleadin and Saša Seretin, held a presentation of the Center of Competence in Koprivnica - Križevci County presenting all the details and goals after the implementation of this project.
The signing was also attended by Deputy Prefect Ratimir Ljubić, Head of PORA Melita Birčić, Principal of Vocational School Đurđevac Darko Špoljar, Principal of Trade School Koprivnica Zlatko Martić, heads Ana Mušlek and Melita Ivančić, members of the project team and other associates.
